How it works

An eSIM is a SIM card that lives inside your phone. Instead of a plastic card you receive a QR code; scanning it adds a second mobile line that carries unlimited data at your destination, while your own number keeps working for calls and messages.

1. Choose a destination and the number of days

Pick the country you are visiting, or a regional plan if you cross borders. Choose 3, 5, 7, 10, 15 or 30 days. Every plan is unlimited data for its whole duration.

2. Pay and receive your QR code

Pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The QR code is shown on the confirmation page, sent to your e-mail within minutes and stored under My eSIMs in your account.

3. Install before you travel

Install the eSIM while you are on Wi-Fi at home. On iPhone: Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM → Use QR Code. On Android: Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs → Add eSIM. Give the line a label such as “Travel” and leave it switched off until you arrive. Installation takes about two minutes.

4. Land and connect

When you arrive, select the eSIM as your mobile-data line and switch Data Roaming on for that line. The phone connects to the best available local network automatically. The day count starts at this first connection.

Good to know

  • Keep your number. Your physical SIM stays active for calls and SMS; the eSIM handles data only.
  • Hotspot included. Share the connection with a laptop or a travel companion.
  • 5G where available. Speeds depend on the local network and your device.
  • Fair use. Unlimited plans are for normal personal use; extreme usage may be slowed down, never cut off.
  • One device. An eSIM can be installed on one phone only. Do not delete it from the phone before the plan ends.
